For experienced and committed young actors, ATYP Theatre Makers courses are designed to give participants the experience of working together as a theatre company and expanding their skills as performers. Work with a professional director and a series of specialist artists to develop skills in voice and accent, physical theatre, screen acting, audition technique and more. This course is designed to grow young actors into well rounded performers.
Classes will focus on skill development and technique, while the second term gives students a chance to use these skills and work together to devise a scripted show or perform chosen scenes from professional plays. Guided by ATYP industry professionals these classes will equip participants with the skills and terminology needed as they progress into the senior classes.
Due to the extended lockdown of Greater Sydney, our Semester 2 weekly drama classes will begin on Saturday 24 July and will commence online. At this stage, we will continue to run classes online until it is safe to return to our classrooms in person.
Entry into this class is via application only and commitment to every class is vital.
