Year 7-9 audition technique workshop

Whether it be for drama school, a play or a television series, one thing is for certain: if you want to be an actor you will have to audition.

The audition room can be an intimidating place, so join ATYP these holidays and learn the tricks of the trade to make the most of your time in any audition room.

Discover how to prepare yourself for anything an audition might throw at you: doing a cold read, choosing the right piece, rehearsing and performing a monologue and preparing to deliver your best. Undertake a trial run with a guest director to practice all your new skills and finish this workshop feeling ready to take on any audition.

Making use of interactive online programs, school holiday workshops bring the drama experience to your living room, kitchen, backyard or wherever! Students will still get the chance to connect with an ATYP artist and their fellow classmates each day to create, express and perform.

Classes will be held using Google Classroom and Zoom platforms.
