Windowsmiths: Murmuration

When

Every day, all day Thursday 20 May 2021 to Wednesday 7 July 2021

Murmuration is a contemporary installation exploring the beauty and function of ordinary technologies.

The suspended formation of silversmithing pliers, elevated by their display, allows the viewer to gaze and reflect, appreciating this simple tool’s beauty as an extension of the human hand. From a distance, the installation is a murmuration circling the body.

Windowsmiths are a collaboration of artists; Fiona Meller, Marcia Swaby and Helen Wyatt, who apply the traditional tools and skills of silversmithing to their artistic practice.

Object Space is a window gallery located in the window of the ADC Offices on William Street in Darlinghurst. The exhibition space has direct street frontage, is accessible to view 24 hours a day and is lit for viewing at night.
