Wild Duck Creek Estate is one of those cult wineries in Australia that achieved much of its acclaim due to a mixture of excellent winemaking techniques (vinification is entirely effected through manual pressing), a winemaker with a keen sense of what good wine is (David Anderson knows and deeply loves his vines), and of course, that Robert Parker awarded 99/100 for its flagship Duck Muck in the ’97 vintage.
A small family run winery established in 1974 by David, is now run by his son Liam, and a fabulous team that strive to create wines that excite wine enthusiasts and novices alike. Wines that drink wonderfully young and fresh, as well as when gracefully aged.
Quite often the wines are produced in such small volumes that the only way to guarantee to get some is to have an yearly allocation.
