Who is this? Seeing Jesus in the Gospel of Mark

When

Thursday 19 February from 6:30pm to 8pm

Who is this? This question, asked by the disciples in the boat after the stilling of the storm, is probably one of the most important in Mark's Gospel.

Throughout the Gospel, Mark, a brilliant story-teller, introduces not only who Jesus was but what difference this might make to the people who follow him, then and now. Join us for a wonderful evening exploring this theme with Dr Paula Gooder, visiting St James' from St Paul's Cathedral London.

Dr Paula Gooder is Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral. She also holds visiting and honorary positions at Birmingham Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, St Andrew’s University, Durham University, Kings College, London, and Trinity College, Bristol. A New Testament Scholar committed to communicating the best of biblical scholarship in as accessible a way as possible, Dr Gooder is a prolific author and highly sought after speaker.
