Welcome potluck for girls new to Sydney

For women who have just moved here or may still not feel at home yet

Welcome to Sydney, girls!

For those who have just moved here or have migrated a while ago and may still not feel at home, we invite you to a welcome potluck.

If you’re looking for new friends, meaningful connections, and tips on how to settle in Sydney, this is an evening for you! A chance to make friends, share some delicious food, listen to each others stories and realise you aren’t alone in this journey, of making Sydney your new home.

Just bring a plate of food you would like to share, whether it is your mum’s secret recipe or something yummy you just picked up from the store. As we tuck into dinner, we’ll also chat about volunteering as a settlement strategy. By being generous and putting a bit of our time and skills to the service of our new community!

Our guest speaker for the evening will introduce you to volunteering. And if you’re interested, he can help you find great opportunities to get involved and in the process gain some valuable Australian experience and invaluable friendships.

Drinks, tea and coffee will be included. We will have some labels for your food and provide plates and cutlery.
Hope you can come along and join us for a good dinner and hearty conversations.

We look forward to seeing you there!
