In celebration of NAIDOC Week, join Brett Leavy, digital storyteller and creator from Virtual Heritage Jedi.
This virtual time capsule recreates the lifestyle of First Nations in Botany Bay as described by the traditional owners, archaeologists, anthropologists, botanists and the first European settlers at the time of first settlement.
Through his digital mapping and virtual worlds, Brett aims to showcase the deep-seated connection of Indigenous peoples to their land. He recreates the lifestyle of First Nations people within their respective Native Title boundaries, promoting the care and protection for native flora and fauna as well as sharing knowledge.
Take the journey and be immersed in an experience that respects first peoples of Australia.
Discover more about the development of this project, as well as the use of virtual worlds which represent song lines, culture and heritage. Brett’s new works represent a greater Sydney interactive cultural heritage map with particular focus on Kamay (Botany Bay).
