The Very Short Film Festival is a national film festival showcasing bold short films from emerging Australian filmmakers, with all films under five minutes.

The Sydney screening presents a curated selection of Australian short films spanning comedy, drama, documentary and experimental work. The program brings together diverse storytelling voices and styles, offering audiences the opportunity to experience contemporary short filmmaking on the big screen.

Following the screening, audiences will have the chance to hear directly from several New South Wales filmmakers during a live Q&A, offering insights into their creative process and the stories behind the films.

Part of the festival’s national tour, the Sydney event offers a unique opportunity to discover new Australian filmmaking talent, connect with filmmakers, and experience contemporary short cinema in a shared theatre setting.
