The Australia-China Relations Institute at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS:ACRI) will welcome the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to Australia, H.E. Mr Xiao Qian, to deliver an address on the state of relations between Australia and the PRC.
Following his address, Ambassador Xiao will be joined in conversation by UTS:ACRI Director Professor James Laurenceson.
There will be a moderated Q&A from pre-submitted questions from registered attendees. If you would like to ask the Ambassador a question, please submit your question via the registration page.

About Ambassador Xiao Qian:
Ambassador Xiao Qian is the current Chinese ambassador to Australia, in office since January 2022. Previously he served as Chinese ambassador to Indonesia (2017 - 2021) and before that, Chinese ambassador to Hungary (2012 - 2015).
