An outlandish night of live music, karaoke, interactive art and retro video games

Produced by the City of Sydney

Live music, interactive art and retro gaming take over Green Square Library for a special after-hours event for Youth Week. Come and check out the new underground library and enjoy a fun night of free entertainment.

The music line-up features some fantastic local Sydney talent including The 902 with their blend of rock, funk, alt pop, jazz and blues and the vintage psychedelic rock of The Lazy Eyes.

Collaborate with Andrew Burrell to build a live virtual reality world using found text and images from the library’s collection. Gamify climate change with Boho Interactive and contribute your thoughts on environmental issues to an interactive artwork designed by the Youth Curators.

Then head to the karaoke room to sing your heart out or grab a joystick to play our retro video games. Battle it out on all the classic Atari, Nintendo and Sega games of the 80s and 90s on the big screen.

Presented in collaboration with our Library Youth Curators, this free Youth Week event is for young people 13 – 18 years. Bookings are recommended.

Green Square Library is located right next to Green Square train station.

Friday 12 April 2019 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm
