Twelve Summers: Adam Zwar in conversation with Tim Ross

Most of us can measure our lives against major events, and for a lot of people those events are sporting. For actor and writer Adam Zwar, every memorable moment in his life is tied to cricket. Twelve Summers is the hilarious, moving and thought provoking book about this sporting obsession, covering the 12 most significant cricket seasons in Zwar’s life: beginning with the 1980–81 Australian Summer and ending with the 2006–07 England tour of Australia.
On Wednesday 1 December, Zwar will be talking about this cricket obsession with comedian, radio host, design enthusiast and television presenter Tim Ross. Whether you’re a cricket fan or not, you’re in for a rollicking evening of banter, anecdotes, insights and great entertainment at the Balmain Peninsula’s first microbrewery, White Bay Beer Co in an event hosted by Roaring Stories Bookshop Balmain.
Doors open at 6pm. Attendees are asked to arrive at 6.30pm or earlier for a 7pm start. Seating is unallocated – another reason to arrive early to secure an optimal spot! The bar opens 6pm and closes at 9.30pm on the night of the event, making for an opportune time to settle in and grab a drink before or after, with an incredible range of locally brewed beers and other beverages to enjoy.
There’ll be plenty of delicious food available too thanks to special event caterer and fried chicken specialists Dirty Food Truck, so why not make a full evening of it and come for dinner too?
