If you’ve outgrown a favourite old t-shirt, there’s no need to throw it away. Bring it along to this 1.5 hour school holiday workshop and transform it into a tee-tote bag.

Perfect for kids aged 8 to 11, this creative workshop involves cutting up old t-shirts of any size and colour. No sewing is needed.

The teachers from Sew Make Create will also explore ways to upcycle the leftover offcuts.

Parents or guardians must sign in for the attendees, stay in the library for the duration of the activity and collect the attendees at the end of the session.

You must live in the City of Sydney to participate and proof of address is required. Check this map to see if you're eligible.

  • Suggested age: 8 to 11 years

  • Skill level: suitable for complete beginners. Using fabric scissors will be required.

  • Provided: all tools

  • Bring: 2-3 old t-shirts

This is a free workshop with limited spaces. Bookings are essential.
