Warlimpirrnga, Walala and Thomas Tjapaltjarri and their family led a completely nomadic life until they emerged from the desert in Kiwirrkurra in 1984.
Members of the lost tribe, the 3 brothers have continued to stun the world when walking out of the desert those many years ago. For example, in their first 3 years, Warlimpirrnga’s art was featured in an exhibition in Melbourne.
While the patterns they each paint can appear geometric and even hypnotic to the eye, the meaning behind the works is multilayered and often not able to be divulged to the uninitiated.
This exhibition showcases contemporary works by all 3 brothers.
