Saturday 29 January from 2:30pm to 4pm

Travel back in time for an afternoon of intimate storytelling through the eyes of some of Sydney's diverse residents.

Join us at the Green Square amphitheatre as four residents from different backgrounds share their first memories and moments in Sydney over the last 40 years, from the 1980s to the 2010s.

  • Jackie Nugara leaves behind a troubled past in Melbourne to find her new self in Sydney in the 80s

  • Deniz Agraz arrives from Turkey in 1997 as a teenager.

  • Classical Indian dancer Hamsa Venkat steps into Sydney with her family in the 2000s

  • Thinesh Thillai, a Canadian, arrives in Sydney, after a period of time in Brisbane in the ‘10s

The event is free to the public and recommended for those 18 years and over.

Presented by City of Sydney in partnership with The Brown Council.
