Featured artists Mia Ardianto, Jacqui Biffin, Kathryn Bird, Nicole Buckland, Anne Chestnut, Alice Crawford, Amanda Holt, Bettina Kaiser, Mandy King, Zoe Sadokierski, and other artists of the Social Glue of Sydney.
The Social Glue of Sydney exhibition and workshops will showcase the distinctive styles and themes explored by a vibrant group of collage artists and introduce collage practice to community members. We aim to celebrate our diverse community, welcome new members, and demonstrate the limitless creativity of collage as a medium.
Originally convened by artist Kathryn Bird in 2017, The Social Glue of Sydney is an inclusive collective. All artists of any level of experience are welcomed to join in "reactivating the archive" of images we all navigate daily, with focussed exploration of the medium of collage. The exhibition is a celebration of our collage artwork to date and an invitation for others to join us in this exciting art practice.
In addition to scheduled workshops there will be drop-in activities on most exhibition days.
