THE PUBLIC BODY .03 situates the body as detached from or encompassing much more than mere physical form. This body is a rhizomatic network of associations and relationships, mediated by notions of the digital, the hybrid, the atemporal and the futuristic. It moves in and out of stasis, born of capitalistic excess, untied from linear temporality, adrift on a sea of data. It is melancholic, lonely and alien; but also hyper-conscious, humorous, resilient and versatile. THE PUBLIC BODY .03 speaks to the developing conditions of the human collective that asks for alternate possibilities, other endings.
THE PUBLIC BODY .03 features work from twenty local and international artists including: Kelly Akashi, Korakrit Arunanondchai, Badlands, Archie Barry, Kate Cooper, Hannah Donnelly, Cécile B. Evans, Doreen Garner, Angela Goh, Celia Hempton, Jess Johnson, Oliver Laric, Rachel Maclean, Jan Nelson, Patricia Piccinini, Jon Rafman, Tabita Rezaire, Jacolby Satterwhite, Yves Scherer and Francis Upritchard.
