Nardean's second E.P., The New Era is both a declaration and celebration of the new era we are collectively calling in.

The era where women are claiming their rights, where Western Sydney is being recognised for its immense talent, and where minorities from these communities are forming new, hybrid identities, embracing the cultures of their past, and the cultures they were born into.

The New Era is a collaboration between herself and esoteric Sydney producer Stackhat. The EP is a voyage into a genre Nardean describes as “post hop.” Strongly influenced by trad HipHop, but with smorgasbord of peculiar flavours thrown in to give it a little extra kick. Seamlessly blending deep-cut samples from rare Egyptian vinyl and contemporary glitch-hop to deliver an authentic sonic experience like no other.

Nardean’s live show is a reclamation of the right to be creative and expressive. From heart wrenching poetry to ass shaking bangers, she explores the full depth and breadth of what it is to be human and to grapple with so many feelings at once. A natural performer, she is captivating and authentic, while fierce and feminine.

The New Era speaks to a larger moment in Australian musical history, where minorities are coming to the front and embracing their roots with pride and power. Nardean is always engaging and unpredictable, since she values authenticity and truth. Her natural stage presence is unmatched, with a quiet and fierce magnetism emanating from her. For this show, she will be performing songs from her forthcoming E.P. The New Era, along with some songs from her first release, ‘Creatress.’

Born and bred in Western Sydney, Nardean is an artist with a rich, intelligent and engaging voice. Her music traverses genres of rap, poetry and melody, combining heart wrenching imagery with hip shaking bangers. She takes pride in being the outsider, in bending the rules and turning the awkward shapes into images for your ears.
