Boom! International Festival of Percussion presents a masterclass by award-winning percussionist and composer, Timothy Constable.

Unlike its percussive cousins, the vibraphone and glockenspiel, the wooden marimba doesn’t possess a long sustain. So how does a player essentially create the illusion of ‘long notes’ and legato?

Timothy discusses and demonstrates how he approaches this intriguing conundrum.

Young players will be invited to participate in the masterclass.
