Avaye Rood is an award-winning Persian-fusion ensemble based in Sydney, Australia, founded by the musical director Behzad Ansari. Since its inception in 2006, the band has transcended geographical and cultural boundaries, captivating audiences across Europe, Asia, Australia, and beyond with their mesmerizing blend of Persian-inspired tunes.

Rooted in Persian traditional and folk music, Avaye Rood’s music is a harmonious fusion that seamlessly integrates traditional Iranian instruments like tar, barbat, setar, santoor, tanbour, kamancheh, and tombak with the rich tones of the double bass, electric guitar, and drums. Adding to this eclectic mix is the Indian tabla, enriching their sound with rhythmic diversity.

Their compositions often feature English and Persian verses inspired by the poetry of Rumi and Hafez, the great poets of Iran, serving as a bridge between cultures and languages.

With special guests Moussa et Malin: Moussa Diakite (Mali) and Malin Fode Sylla (Guinea)
