BIG Live proudly presents the world premiere of The Great Gatsby: A Jazz Ballet Odyssey, opening at Sydney’s iconic Capitol Theatre from 19 February to 8 March.
This dazzling world premiere reimagines F. Scott Fitzgerald’s timeless classic with full theatrical spectacle. Directed and choreographed by Joel Burke, with narration arranged by James Millar, Gatsby’s story is brought to life like never before.
The score blends masterpieces such as Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, James P Johnson’s The Charleston alongside bold new compositions by Toby Alexander and Carrick Sugden.
On stage, some of the world’s greatest dancers will deliver a genre-defying fusion of ballet, tap, and jazz. Expect nothing less than breathtaking choreography, bedazzled costumes, humungous sets and the glitz and glamour of one of the most famous stories of all time.
