This concert consists of rarely heard Swedish folk tunes and baroque music from the time of the great botanist, Daniel Solander, who visited Australia with James Cook in 1770.

There are also songs by Sweden’s ‘National Poet’, Carl Michael Bellman, known as ‘The Swedish Schubert.’ A special feature being two songs by the Australian colonial era composer, Isaac Nathan, who some call the Father of Australian Music.
