Family bundle offer on sale now. 20% discount on 4 tickets.

A beautifully told story, without words. Steeped in Chinese mythology, the drama unfolds through live performances and puppetry, and a visual feast of exquisite costumes and scenery.

Directed by world-famous Australian director, Peter Wilson, The Dragon Child has been performed in countries around the world since 2009, receiving wide acclaim by drawing on the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac to help deliver a powerful environmental message. Told from the perspective of a child this unique experience captures the imagination of children and adults alike.

Performed by the China National Theatre for Children, founded in 1956 and recognised as one of China’s leading national children’s theatre companies, known for enchanting audiences and nurturing outstanding artists and performers.

Enjoy the magic and wonder of a performance that will captivate all generations.

“The performance uses no words, but the themes of rapid urbanization and the precarious nature of natural resources is skilfully displayed with an evocative mix of music puppetry and scenery – in a way that children of all ages can understand.”  – Nathan King, CCTV
