Letra House is excited to announce an exclusive dinner experience with one of Scotland’s most luxurious single malt houses, The Dalmore. Led by Josh Davies, Single Malt Whisky Specialist at The Dalmore, enjoy a generous set menu, welcome drink and three pairings of whisky and sherry. This will be the first official tasting event in Australia to celebrate the launch of The Dalmore Aged 17 Year whisky.
While each of the whiskies on show is finished in rare, aged sherry casks, it’s the newly released The Dalmore Aged 17 Year that will be especially celebrated. Matured in a trilogy of rare González Byass sherry casks - Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem – the 17 year old whisky is an exceptional release, with wood spice and Seville orange aromas, forest berries and orange marmalade on the palate, and dark chocolate orange and spice to finish.
On the night, Josh will expertly guide you through a trio of The Dalmore whiskies, paired with sherries to highlight the nuances the casks bring to each single malt.
As a nod to the birthplace of sherry, Letra House’s Head Chef Brandon Jones and Love Tilly Group’s Culinary Director Scott McComas-Williams have crafted an Andalusian set menu, served on long, convivial tables throughout the evening. Think potato galette with smoked eel brandade and pickled onion; pippies, jamón and arrocilla beans in a sherry beurre blanc; beef cheeks, braised in oloroso and served with papas fritas; and burnt honey and whisky torta with sherry custard, to name a few.
Spaces are limited to ensure Scottish generosity and Spanish hospitality.
