Friday 23rd January is the big SF3 Gala Finals, Saturday 24th January is the SF3 Kids Screening, both at the Sydney Opera House and Sunday 25th January is the SF3 Mini and Feature Film Screening at the Palace Chauvel Cinema.

As one of the world’s premier smartphone film festivals, SF3 champions creativity, accessibility and innovation, proving that all you need to make a movie is a smartphone and a story. With over $50,000 in prizes, it’s the ultimate celebration of mobile filmmaking.

SF3 Gala Finals Screening & Awards Ceremony. Experience an unforgettable night as we showcase the 16 best smartphone short films from around the world, all competing for our top awards and prizes. Red carpet, big screens, and the future of filmmaking — all in one night.

A heartwarming showcase of the best smartphone films made by filmmakers 18 and under from across the globe. Featuring both high school and primary school filmmakers, this screening is pure inspiration for the next generation of storytellers.

SF3 Mini & Feature Film Screening — discover the world’s best Mini Films (3 minutes or less) and a curated selection of Feature Film Finalists. From powerful bite-sized stories to ambitious full-length masterpieces — all shot entirely on smartphones — this session is where creativity knows no limits. Catch our SF3 Kids Feature Film Finalist, Unholy Union, plus the world premiere of James Demitri’s new found footage horror film, Fire Alive
