Sydney is home to a magnificent range of public art on display throughout the city and features sculptures, memorials and monuments by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, as well as nationally recognised and internationally acclaimed artists.
Explore highlights of Sydney’s public art, led by local award-winning artist and educator, Cameron Stead, in a two hour walking tour that begins in Hyde Park (accessible via Museum Station) and ends in Circular Quay (adjacent to Circular Quay Station).
Both enlightening and educational, this tour is suitable for visitors to the city, local residents, art novices and enthusiasts. Your tour guide, Cameron, is a practicing artist and educator who has trained at Sydney’s The National Art School. He has been conducting tours of public artworks, as well as at the Art Gallery of NSW and the Museum of Contemporary Art since 2017.
