Starry, Starry Night

Lullabies, nocturnes and songs for sleep

The Hourglass Ensemble makes chamber music accessible and engaging by connecting with audiences and explaining the context, meaning and narrative of each piece of music. This concert features lullabies, nocturnes and songs for sleep from the classical and contemporary repertoire including a world premiere by Hourglass artistic director Andrew Kennedy.

The repertoire also includes the Brahm’s beloved masterpiece Sonata number one for clarinet and Australia’s favourite Dulcie Holland’s Nocturne for solo piano.

Andrew O’Connor of The Song Company joins The Hourglass Ensemble for its third collaboration.
