Saturday 14 November 2020 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm
This final concert for the year celebrates the human spirit, the music of the people. Composers have always incorporated folk music into their work. What is it that makes it folk music? Simplicity, purity or a unique style? Perhaps time, for it to be passed down through the generations. Whatever it is, one thing is for sure, it brings us together, inspires you to dance and love life itself.

“The wonderful lush sound coming from the Phoenix Collective made it an even richer experience…Phoenix, are a tight-knit “collective”. They can make the music from hundreds of years ago sound contemporary through their expressive style…They played with a dedication to the music that made it sound like it was coming from one voice, such is their accuracy and timing…It melted through the ears, into the heart.”
- Rob Kennedy, City News -
