The Shine Arts Exhibition celebrates the creativity and resilience of people living with the impact of severe injury. Featuring works by 35 artists supported by icare’s Lifetime Care and Support Scheme and Workers Care Program, the exhibition showcases painting, drawing, textiles, video and music inspired by the theme “My Favourite Things.”

Presented by icare NSW in partnership with Accessible Arts, and proudly sponsored by Hon. Mark Buttigieg, MLC, the exhibition highlights how art fosters healing, confidence and community connection.

Each piece tells a story of recovery and renewal — from Danette’s intricately sewn dresses made from recycled fabrics to Asha’s vibrant paintings born from her rehabilitation journey. Together, the artists remind us of the power of creativity to bring light, joy and purpose through life’s challenges.

Visit the free exhibition at NSW Parliament House on weekdays, 9am to 5pm from 4-27 November 2025. Access is to the left of the building via the security gatehouse.
