Seymour Centre's contemporary music program, Seymour Nights, returns for Sydney WorldPride.
Offering free gigs at dusk in the Seymour courtyard and coinciding with eight brilliant Sydney WorldPride events, Seymour Nights @ Sydney WorldPride will champion local LGBTQI artists and new sounds, with appearances by Seann Miley Moore, Tanzer, Dyan Tai, and more.
Join us for free performances from some of Australia's most vibrant voices, wickedest DJs, and most daring drag artists, all in the leafy, summery surrounds of the Seymour courtyard.
Beks is a holy tipped rising star who has gained media acclaim from NME Australia, Purple Sneakers, and Rolling Stone, and Spotify editorial support on NMF Germany, Switzerland, Asia, and Australia.
With a rapidly building fanbase, the Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer, currently based in London, has consistently charted on iTunes and peaked at #3 on the global iTunes Dance Chart with Devoted.
Beks has also achieved two consecutive Australian ad campaigns for Channel 7’s Home and Away with The Thing About Us and Devoted, while her music is played in over 15k retail stores Australia-wide.
Her recent appearances at IKEA Concert Roulette, Suncorp Stadium, Mardi Gras, Big Gay Day, and Pride Festival have prepared her for her role and performance in Young Rock Season 2 which has just aired on HBO.
Self-described as the Asian empress of the gay streets of Sydney, Dyan Tai has emerged from the stages of the local cabaret scene and now evolved into an electronic artist.
Their captivating live shows bring together elements of Asiatic drag and performance art intersected with synth-heavy electronic music, androgynous vocals, and a sparkly, mirror-coated keytar. Their new Empress 皇后 EP features collaboration with Queer, BIPOC identifying artists, and is supported by CreateNSW.
