Secret Snacks

Eat your way through Haymarket with Secret Snacks, a self-guided street campaign by 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art to encourage hungry Sydneysiders to seek out must-try eats from local restaurants and eateries.

For Secret Snacks, 4A has invited four Asian-Australian creatives to hand-pick their favourite dishes and what makes them special. From comfort slurps to big cravings, this initiative connects food makers, artists and the public through stories that inspire memories, curiosity, and togetherness.

This Lunar New Year, 4A is thrilled to team up with More of Something Good to turn profiles by Benjamin Law, Kylie Kwong, Luisa Brimble, and James Jirat Patradoon into mouth-watering artworks. Keep an eye out for the online platform (launching 8 Feb), as well as posters and decals across Sydney streetscapes and public sites. Follow 4A on Instagram to engage with the project during the campaign.

Secret Snacks is commissioned by 4A and designed by More of Something Good. Featuring tried-and-tested dishes from Boon Cafe, Chat Thai, Gumshara, and Nakano Darling.
