It is recommended we eat seafood two to three times per week but how do you keep things interesting? We're not all experts at preparing exquisite seafood dishes but our chefs are! 

During this class learn a range of delicious dishes and expand your go-to weekly dinner ideas and meals to impress. Not only will this class provide you with brand new ideas to spice up your cooking creations at dinnertime and refresh your meal plan, but you will also learn top tips and tricks from our expert chefs for creative cooking as well as how to choose and cook with fresh, local produce.

Allow our experienced and creative chefs to share with you some of their wonderful go-to, delectable, mouth-watering recipes during this hands-on class. Whether it is a casual meal you are looking to prepare or a dish fit for a fancy dinner, you'll learn the tips and techniques to preparing perfect seafood every time. The chefs will share with you their valuable knowledge and skills that will allow you to build on and get creative at home, over and over again.

Learn three to five* seafood meals suitable for dinner or entertaining _(*amount of dishes depends on complexity and cooking time) _using a selection of different fish and crustaceans. The types of dishes you will be cooking depend on the freshest ingredients available, with the menu changing from class to class ensuring you can come back again to try new dishes.

Some dishes we may prepare:

  • Amuse bouche of crab meat omelette

  • Fresh salmon or kingfish ceviche

  • Grilled baby octopus with apple harissa

  • Trout, creme fraiche and dill dip

  • Squid, chorizo and caramelised onion

  • Grilled king prawns with black pepper sauce 

  • Baked cured salmon

  • Atlantic salmon with lemon burr blanc and wilted spinach

  • Maldives barramundi curry

  • Seared Japanese scallops

  • Mild prawn and snapper bouillabaisse

  • Mussels provencale with cream, garlic and parsley

We specialise in hands-on, informative and interactive cooking classes. Enjoy learning in our start of the art, comfortable and fully equipped kitchen. Our small group sizes ensure everyone is involved in the action and welcome to ask the chef any questions throughout the class.

Our engaging and professional chefs enjoy inspiring you to feel confident and more creative in the kitchen. Using only the freshest of ingredients, cook your own meals at cooking stations working in pairs. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy all the dishes prepared and are welcome to take any leftovers home (containers provided). Recipes of all the dishes will be provided at the end of the class.

Sydney Cooking School adheres to COVID-19 government guidelines.

Classes are run with only small numbers of people at a time, most with a maximum capacity of 10 people and keeping 1.5mts distance and gloves are provided free of charge.
