Saturday 22 August from 2pm to 3:15pm

Have you ever noticed litter on our beaches or seen a beach closed because of pollution? Have you wondered what the pollution is and how it got there?

Join us online with marine biologist Will Jones as he explores the hidden creeks, drains and waterways from Bondi to Rose Bay. We’ll learn how scientists measure water pollution and whether pollution is linked to birds, dogs or humans.

Help Will to discover:

  • what the pollution is and where it comes from

  • some of the things being done to keep our water clean

  • what we can do to keep our harbour beautiful and protect the creatures that live there

This National Science Week webinar is suited for families with kids from around 8-12, but everyone is welcome to join.
