Monday 3 July from 9am to 1pm
Explore sculptural jewellery-making, a unique art form that combines sculpture with wearable jewellery.
Whether you want to make earrings, a pendant or a key ring, you'll have the chance to experiment with different materials, including wire, silver and other metals.
You’ll draw inspiration from American artist Alexander Calder's miniature kinetic sculptures which move in response to air currents and are known for their whimsy and playful style.
Over the course of 2 half-day sessions, you’ll learn the basics of jewellery-making, the process of designing and techniques for creating movement in jewellery.
This course takes place on two half-days:
Day 1: 3 July, 9.00am to 1.00pm
Day 2: 4 July, 9.00am to 1.00pm
Class size: maximum 8
What to bring: yourself – all materials provided
What to wear: enclosed shoes (no sandals or thongs) and comfortable clothing (aprons provided)
