Sams Commune is a Sydney based special tribute act band with their musical taste and influences widely spreading from Latin music, blues, rock, soul, funk and southern gospel to fusion, hard jazz and world music.
The band draws its inspiration and pays their homage as true and authentic as possible to the legendary bands and artists like the names of Carlos Santana, The Allman Brothers Band, The Band, Grateful Dead, Derek and the Dominos, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Parliament Funk, and many such greats and easily recognisable classic jam bands sound born out of the 60s and 70s American counterculture era.
The massive lineup of talented Sydney based musicians and singers behind this jam band and special tributes projects was conceived by Australian guitarist Ben Chakravorty in the summer of 2017 to re-introduce that classic sound and culture to our local music scene.
Currently playing the tribute shows to Carlos Santana music, and capturing the true authentic energy, vibe essence and sound of their tasteful music, it is a treat for every audience who comes out to watch them playing live.
