Here are some questions people ask about Salon Sessions and the things we say in response
There’s a live band?
Yep. That’s what we mean by ‘a drawing class with a difference’. And it’s in a brewery. That’s a bit different.
What if I don’t know how to draw?
No problem. Everyone is welcome – no drawing experience is necessary. We supply the drawing stuff. And we promise not to judge!
What if I do know how to draw?
No problem. There’ll be plenty of activities to challenge you. And you can bring your own drawing stuff if you like.
Will there be naked people?
You mean is it life drawing? Nope… well not yet anyway. But there’ll be interesting still life compositions thought up by our art master Colin involving fruit, instruments, artfully draped fabric and the odd skull or two. And you can draw the band. They quite like that.
When does it happen?
It’s on the fourth Sunday of every month from 3 – 5pm.
Can I bring my friends/kids/dog?
Friends – definitely. Kids – for sure (it’s in a separate room upstairs from the brewery). Dog – unfortunately not.
How much does it cost?
$10 on the door. Cash please (we’re not fancy!)
How do I get there?
Catch one of the many buses up Broadway/Parramatta Road and get off at Broadway Shopping Centre. Walk down Bay Street, turn into Grose Street (where the shopping centre car park is) and you’re pretty much there. If you’re driving your best bet for parking is probably the shopping centre car park.
Anything else I should know?
Mmmm… nope. But if you have other questions feel free to drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
