One Nation is surging in the polls, using racism to capitalise on disgust at the political system, echoing the rise of the far right globally. Israel continues its genocide in Gaza, alongside ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and a murderous war in Lebanon.
Trump’s war in Iran has killed thousands and threatened global economic catastrophe. But we have also seen resistance, from Minneapolis’ general strike that drove out ICE agents from the city, port workers’ strikes against arms exports to Israel in Europe, and a global wave of solidarity with Palestine.
