A Changing World - Recovery, Resilience & Reinvention

After a uniquely challenging period for the creative sector, Australia's largest creative industries conference REMIX Summits is back (and in-person). This edition, “A Changing World” is a special one-off national event to support the recovery (and reinvention) of the creative industries. The event is supported by the Commonwealth government and many other partners to enable the widest possible access to the summit.

REMIX explores the intersection of Culture, Technology & Entrepreneurship. It is a platform to explore the future of the Creative Industries, Creative Places and the Creative Economy

The Summit explores the rapid shifts that are occurring (or accelerating) in technology, society, and the environment (through the global pandemic and more generally). We will explore the impact of these trends on the creative economy in Australia as we begin to emerge from the pandemic. We will also shine a light on those changemakers that have adapted to the new environment.

The first 50 speakers include the former Creative Director of Apple as well as Industrial, Light & Magic (Lucasfilm / Disney), RONE, Airbnb, ACMI, Pub Choir, TikTok, Science Gallery Melbourne, HOTA, The LUME, YouTube, Sydney Opera House, Malthouse Theatre & many more. Topics range from the future of tourism and the experience economy to the reinvention of CBD’s and public spaces.

Digital tickets and bursaries are also available thanks to the support of our partners. Please visit the event website for more information.

REMIX partners and supporters include Google, Time Out, NSW Government, City of Sydney, NIDA, Commonwealth Government and the UK Government.
