Refugee Week schools program

Bring your students to the National Maritime Museum for an immersive curriculum-aligned experience

This Refugee Week, bring your students to the Australian National Maritime Museum for a comprehensive and curriculum aligned Refugee Week – World of Stories immersive experience.

Program includes:

1. New Human Rights Tour (60 mins) – build a critical understanding of human rights and responsibilities through a highlights tour of the hidden histories in the museum (including a visit the Vietnamese Refugee Boat, Tu Do)
2. Australian Migration Stories – Documents and Dialogue (60 mins) – oral history and object handling workshop
3. Refugee Led Textile Workshop (60 mins) – learn how to make an Afghan tapestry with our artist in residence, Sayd Abdali
