Podcasting workshop with FBi radio (Ages 9–13)

The Powerhouse is partnering with our Creative Residents FBi Radio to present a podcasting workshop.  

FBi Radio is an independent youth broadcaster shaping and amplifying independent music and culture in Sydney. The station produces over 20 weekly podcasts covering topics from movies and art to rugby and fiction.  

Workshop participants will brainstorm their own podcast ideas and learn how to create a storyboard before they try sound recording and audio editing for themselves. After listening to one another’s creations, participants will conclude with a discussion about how they can continue their podcasting journey at home.  

For ages 9–13. All materials are provided.  

Participants are asked to bring their own lunch.  

Bookings are essential.

Covid-safe information

Anyone aged 16 years or over will need to provide proof of full vaccination (two doses) or a medical exemption for entry. Unvaccinated visitors under 16 must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult.

You can prove you have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine in one of the following ways:

  • COVID-19 digital certificate (Medicare, MyGov or Service NSW Apps)

  • Digital Immunisation history statement (Medicare or MyGov Apps)

  • Printed copy of COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement

All workshop equipment, materials and workspaces are regularly cleaned in line with COVID Safety Cleaning protocols. Workshop capacities have been reduced to encourage social distancing.

Please continue to be mindful of 1.5 m physical distancing and hand hygiene protocols. Masks wearing is recommended.
