Pleasure Club Presents: Sound Sorcery

Sound Sorcery is a bi-monthly jazz jam dedicated to women and gender-diverse musicians, creating space for voices too often sidelined in live music.

Presented by Sound Sorcery and Pleasure Club, the series kicks off on Thursday 26 February, starting from 7pm, with Night #1 exploring Latin groove led by La Gati, setting the tone for a night that values connection over competition and feeling over ego.

Discover the vibrant sounds of Patricia Alvarez, otherwise known as La Gati. A Gadigal based artist blending jazz, soul, Latin reggae and afrobeat. A seasoned performer on the Sydney gig circuit, she has captivated audiences while collaborating with renowned musicians as a talented keyboardist and vocalist. La Gati is committed to bridging cultural divides through her music, crafting performances that invite audiences to celebrate diversity, rhythm and shared humanity. With her versatile musicianship and enchanting stage presence, Patricia continues to enrich Australia’s live music scene and beyond.

Live jam sets unfold across the evening from 7.30–8.00pm, 8.30–9.15pm, and 9.45–10.30pm, before DJ Sasha Soh takes the reins from 11pm through to 2am, carrying the energy late into the night.

An inclusive, high-vibe session inviting musicians and listeners alike to settle in, play freely, and take up space.
