Attention bacon, pork and ham lovers: Public House Petersham announces the food festival of your dreams. Pigfest is back.
Pigfest is your jam packed, family friendly day out, with meat raffles, a delectable menu and some crafty twists from your favourite local breweries. Pigfest returns after a huge 2017, with 2000 people fed in 4 hours, 3 whole pigs consumed, 17 kegs tapped, 528 tinnies cracked and more than $1000 raised for charity.
2018’s menu is set to have you salivating from the moment you catch the scent. Headlining the day is a whopping selection of carefully curated pig-centric dishes like thick cut bourbon honey bacon lollipops, barbeque-glazed porky ribs and a selection of sweet treats like maple bacon doughnuts. If you can’t make it to Public House Petersham, The Erko will have a selection of the exclusive dishes on offer. Alongside the menu, you can place your bets on the epic meat tray in the raffle, all the while supporting a fantastic cause with proceeds being donated to St Vincent De Paul Night Patrol.
On the beer duties is a local line-up of the finest inner west breweries, all set to prepare some special Pigfest concoctions. Wayward Brewing Co will be joined by Batch Brewery, who is paying homage to Marrickville’s classic pork roll with its unique blend. Young Henry’s is bringing taps of Maple Bacon Beer. Public House Petersham will also bring a pop-up bar to the car park with a selection of wines and Pirate Life tinnies, all to be enjoyed while tunes are spun from a lineup of local DJs.
