Picnic Surry Hills is back again in 2021 to connect local communities with our local businesses throughout Surry Hills and the Eastside Sydney area.

Our pubs, cafes and venues are offering special Picnic menu deals and offers all weekend of Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 March.

With Covid-19 conditions changing from week-to-week, all event and entertainment details will be available here so keep checking back. You will have the chance to win Local Rewards Gift Cards to spend at local businesses and other great promotions.

A limited-edition picnic blanket will be available for purchase from selected picnic partners to support local community groups and charities, with $5 of every Picnic blanket sale going to their community programs.

Picnic in the pubs will offer more live music and entertainment, drink specials and relaxed vibes at some of Surry Hills favourite haunts including Beast & Co, Tilly May’s upstairs at the Trinity Hotel, the Clock, the Shakespeare Hotel, the Dove & Olive, The Winery and many local favourites others.

Picnic is an initiative of the Surry Hills Business Partnership as part of the Head to Surry Hills campaign and Eastside Sydney, an official Mardi Gras Festival event and with the support of the City of Sydney.

The Surry Hills Business Partnership prioritises the safety and wellbeing of both our venue and business partners, community members and event attendees. All patrons must follow NSW Health guidelines and follow Covid-Safe practices when attending Head to Surry Hills events. As Government recommendations evolve and change, we will continue to update information about our event attendance. Please do not attend any Head to Surry Hills events if you are unwell. Attending whilst under quarantine or isolation orders is prohibited.

You may be denied entry to partner venues and areas if you show symptoms of Covid-19, to minimise the risk of spread to others. Patrons who live in the area of or have recently visited any identified Covid-19 case locations in the last 14 days should follow NSW Health orders and not attend any Head to Surry Hills events. 

By complying with these rules, we hope to make Head to Surry Hills a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
