Peter Day, cited as one of the most prolific public artists in Australia by the National Association for Visual Arts, has an exciting exhibition coming up called BeacheSANDeserts.
Peter is the artist behind the two largest murals in the southern hemisphere and has been creating outstanding art professionally for over 45 years. Most famously, Peter’s career involves the expert creation of over 200 public artworks, some of which required budgets of over $100,000, leading to his achievement of the 2009 Canterbury and Bankstown Business Achiever Award.
The painted works of art are abstracted landscapes demonstrating his fascination with the edges and centre of this beautiful country. These works are also vehicles for his concern about the state of our material environment, and his obsessive need to create and inspire.
The opening evening will be hosted by the popular ABC television presenter, Josh Szeps, on the opening night.
