Pavilions Residences Welcome Fair

Round up your friends and family (including the furry ones) and head to the Welcome Fair at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 21st May for the grand opening of Pavilions Residences.

There’s a host of live entertainment, food trucks, interactive workshops, apartment tours, kids’ entertainment, rides and taking star billing, the FANtastic Pet Parade. Devoted sports fans are invited to bring along their furry best friend dressed in team colours, with judging of the best kitted out pet by celebrity vet Dr Katrina Warren.

Foodies will be in their element with free ‘Click to Eat’ food tasting, barbecue treats, a dumpling making masterclass and cup cake decorating for the younger set, as well as food truck fare available to purchase. 

It’s a chance to explore the “secret garden” at the heart of Pavilions Residences and take a tour of the apartments and LIV Indigo, Mirvac’s first build to rent community.

Let the little ones unleash their creative side in the arts and crafts corner or enjoy play time with Little Zak’s Academy and Mini Masterminds.

Figtree Drive will be closed off to create a food truck lane where visitors can feast on mouth-watering treats from You Pizza, Burgerhead and Hi Chef, while sweet tooth's will be tempted by fresh gourmet waffles from My Cheeky Habit.

On the main stage there’ll be five hours of non-stop live entertainment, featuring dance performances, judo, African drumming and at 1pm, the FANtastic Pet Parade final judging.

A series of interactive workshops will run throughout the day, including:

  • Feng Shui essentials for your home

  • Happy, healthy pets at home

  • Tips for styling your home with Camerich

  • How to care for your indoor plants

  • Vegetable garden & balcony gardening

  • Learn to make your own tasty dumplings

  • Staying fit, healthy, and motivated 

Visitors to the Welcome Fair will have a chance to win one of three fantastic entertainment, sporting and lifestyle raffle prizes, with all funds raised going to WAGEC, to support their work providing emergency accommodation for women and children in crisis.

Covid-safe information

Wellbeing of staff and customers: Advise staff through event briefing. Advise performers by email to not attend if they are unwell. Advise through social media and webpage attendees not to attend if unwell.

Provide staff with information and training on COVID-19, including COVID-19 vaccination when to get tested, physical distancing, wearing masks, and cleaning. Staff are continuously informed by the HSW Manager regarding up to date information on COVID-19.

Display conditions of entry such as requirement to stay away if unwell. At each entry site to the Pavilions Complex a sign will be displayed to remind people to stay away if unwell.

For large crowd numbers and queuing there will be a security or staff monitoring these areas. If the crowds reach capacity security will ensure numbers decrease before allowing attendees to enter the Pavilions complex.

We will have staff monitoring the queues at registration however people that have registered for workshops will be coming at different times to minimise congestion.

Activities are spread out to ensure there is minimal congestion. Train station and parking areas have been promoted on the event's webpage and flyers.

The Community Room and display apartments used are capped at 20 people and only 30 minutes at a time to ensure there is social distancing between them.

Face masks are optional at this event and there will be masks available for those who request it on the day.

Hand sanities will be set up in various key areas for attendees and staff to use.

Portaloos with paper towels and soap will be provided for the public.

The Building Manager has cleaners who are contracted to clean the premises on a daily basis. Extra cleaners will be working on the day.

No QR code is required at this event as the major of the event entertainment is outdoors. A record of the people who have registered to the workshops or competition on the day will be kept.
