This intimate concert brings together the extraordinary talents of:

• Marina Tamayo – flamenco dancer and director of Flamenco Australia

• Paco Lara – Australia’s premier flamenco guitarist from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain

• El Chacho – internationally acclaimed dancer from Madrid

Paco Lara’s virtuosic guitar artistry will captivate audiences, weaving stories of southern Spain through the strings of his guitar. Marina Tamayo’s electrifying solos embody the essence of Flamenco — powerful, graceful, and deeply expressive — while El Chacho’s dazzling footwork and dynamic stage presence bring the rhythmic heartbeat of Madrid to life.

Together, these world-class artists will present a program of both traditional and contemporary flamenco, featuring original works by Lara, Tamayo, and El Chacho.

A Celebration of Culture and Community

The evening will open with a special student showcase, featuring emerging talent from Tamayo’s Mosman Flamenco community, Las Peinetas, including a solo debut by local guitarist Xuanwei Huang. After a brief intermission, the spotlight turns to the maestros as Lara, Tamayo, and El Chacho take centre stage in an unforgettable performance of rhythm, artistry, and cultural fusion.
