Hear from Chinese-Australian artist Guan Wei in this much-anticipated panel discussion.

Join Guan Wei, MCA curator Manya Sellers, author Linda Jaivin and 2 other guest speakers (still to be announced) as the panellists discuss the meeting of Eastern and Western cultures, migration, identity and the role of storytelling and myth-making.

The talk will also reflect on the artist’s ongoing practice and lived experience of migrating to Australia 30 years ago, and the ways in which he continues to move between two worlds.

This event is presented in collaboration with Sydney Lunar New Year Festival and in conjunction with Guan Wei’s solo exhibition Guan Wei: MCA Collection, until 9 February 2020 at the MCA.

Your ticket includes a glass of Bimbadgen Art Series wine, available after the talk.
