Have fun experimenting with watercolour in this fun introductory workshop for beginners. You will explore unconventional painting methods using materials such as cling wrap, salt and rubbing alcohol to create ethereal patterns and effects.
Let the medium guide you to create your own unique compositions while learning formal painting techniques. Your tutor will give you some great tips and hints to show you the many and varied possibilities of this magical medium.
You don’t need any experience to enjoy this relaxed short course.
Participants must be aged 15+ years old to attend this workshop. Bookings are essential as places are limited.

What to bring: yourself – all materials provided
What to wear: enclosed shoes (no sandals or thongs) and comfortable clothing (aprons provided)
Tutor: Anney Bounpraseuth
Anney Bounpraseuth is an Australian-born artist of Laotian heritage, currently based in the Inner West. As well as being a practicing artist since 2001, Bounpraseuth is a passionate and experienced educator who has worked in community arts education for 14 years. Bounpraseuth creates kitsch, vivid and decorative painting and textile based works that reinterpret the domestic, matriarchal, and spiritual traditions of her upbringing. Currently, Bounpraseuth is a Master of Fine Arts candidate at UNSW Art & Design.
