Join us and artist Ryuji Mitani for our first exhibition opening of 2020.

Seikatsu Kogei, also known as lifestyle crafts, began in the 1990s and seeks to re-examine our relationship with the objects in our daily lives.

This exhibition features some 50 works by 22 currently active Seikatsu Kogei artists presented together for the first time in Australia. The objects on display are made from a variety of materials, including wood, ceramics, lacquer, glass, metal, bamboo, paper and clay.

The Seikatsu Kogei: Objects for Intentional Living exhibition has an attached public program that includes events such as Artist Conversations and related Workshops.

Presented by The Japan Foundation in collaboration with Gallery yamahon as part of Art Month Sydney 2020.
