Saturday 5 December 2020 from 11am to 9pm
For 2 days and nights, Addison Road Community Centre in Marrickville will host some of the biggest names in Sydney’s music scene. Sevenways Health Centre Bondi, in conjunction with Addi Road and CrewCare presents Open the Vault, a live music festival and vintage poster exhibition in aid of two charities providing vital grassroots support to their communities.
On display will be a rare collection of local and international Indie, Punk, Soul, Funk and Rock ’n’ Roll posters collected over three decades.
All proceeds will go to helping Addi Road continue its food justice work, providing healthy basics for people from all walks of life experiencing food insecurity - no questions asked - and to helping CrewCare’s mental health and social support work for live production professionals and their families affected by this year’s venue closures.
Event tickets are for two-hour brackets over the weekend. Each bracket includes the vintage poster exhibition, access to a bar and food vendors, a DJ and slide show, plus a live music performance. Ticket numbers for each bracket are limited, in line with public health guidelines. Open the Vault will be held in Gumbramorra Hall, amongst food relief boxes and pallets where Addi Road volunteers have been packing and distributing food hampers since COVID hit Sydney in March.
