Online writing workshop: How to write a picture book

Join children’s author and screenwriter Alexa Moses as she works with you to tackle the picture book you have been thinking about writing.

In this introductory workshop, Alexa will teach you the fundamentals of character, narrative structure and constructing an engaging story in less than 800 words. We will also discuss the picture-book publishing process, ways to get your work in front of publishers, and how authors work with illustrators.  

Alexa has a master’s degree in screenwriting from the Australian Film Television and Radio school, has written for children’s television and her picture book 'Bat vs Poss' was shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council of Australia 2020 Awards.
